Cottage Computers held a smashing fundraiser in support of the Leduc Boys and Girls Club on Aug. 28. In celebration on 20 years of business the store held a computer smash, where people could make a donation in exchange for the chance to take to some hardware with hammers of varying sizes.For a $10 donation, Sean Ryan was given the biggest hammer available to vent some rage on a keyboard. P.S. 261 in Boerum Hill recently tossed 200 books, amongst other things, in the trash—a move that has outraged many. The books were in good condition, and included titles like Curious George and The Mouse and the Motorcycle .
